Sending good vibes as you kick off 2019. As I reflect on this past year, I wanted to take a moment to thank the many of you who have supported my consulting business West End Studios. 2019 kicks off my third year consulting with high-growth companies to develop their digital marketing and growth strategies.
It has never been a more exciting and daunting time to be a marketer. Advances in tech and AI are helping teams reach customers in more targeted and meaningful ways. Better data has made for better performing campaigns.
Meanwhile, the industry’s evolving at a speed that’s faster than ever. Privacy concerns are changing the way marketers operate. GDPR’s 2018 debut was a big signal that brands need to rethink how they collect and manage customer data. Trust is becoming a brand’s biggest asset.
It was never a dull moment for advertisers in 2018, and 2019 is sure to be another interesting year.

2018 Year in Review
2018 was a big year for West End: the company more than doubled its revenue and client roster. I worked with clients ranging from wealth management mobile apps to next-generation clinics fighting the opioid crisis. Most of 2018 focused on helping clients navigate the shifting landscape marketers face today.
Some highlights:
Conducted M&A advisory for a D2C global fitness brand and created the post-acquisition marketing and growth plan
Designed the Facebook and LinkedIn acquisition strategy for a global B2B professional services company
Built the digital acquisition strategy for a D2C healthcare company combating the opioid crisis
Designed the marketing automation infrastructure and content marketing strategy for a B2B artificial intelligence company
Produced a product marketing and comms strategy for a leading influencer marketing platform undergoing a major business model pivot

A look forward
2019 Preview
This year is going to be a big one for West End. As I continue to build the consulting business, I’m developing complementary businesses that address marketers’ most pressing needs. More to come on those as the year unfolds.
I also plan to introduce the West End Collective: a stable of vetted partners in content, creative and design, that clients can access for their broader marketing and branding needs.
